Samyang prepares 24mm f/1.4 ED lens

A news post from Delta Co., the European distributor for Korean lens manufacturer Samyang, previews an upcoming product launch from the latter company.
According to the post, Samyang will launch a new lens model in late 2011 or early 2012. The Samyang 24mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC lens will be available in Canon, Four Thirds, Nikon, Pentax, Samsung NX, and Sony Alpha-mount forms. The design includes 13 elements in 12 groups, with four ED elements, two aspheric elements, and a multi-layered UMC anti-reflective coating. Minimum focus distance is 25cm, and the lens accepts 77mm filters. No information was available on pricing at press time.
