Viewfinder Test Results

Accuracy
Disappointing accuracy from the optical viewfinder, but excellent accuracy from LCD in Live View mode.

70mm, Optical 70mm, LCD Live View

The Canon EOS 6D Mark II's optical viewfinder accuracy was somewhat disappointing for a full-frame DSLR. While meeting Canon's 98% frame coverage specification, the resulting image was offset both vertically and horizontally as well as slightly tilted, indicating some misalignment compared to the image sensor. Live View mode accuracy using the LCD monitor was excellent, though, with 100% coverage and of course with no offset or tilt.
