Flying a fighter jet is the dream of many a little boy, but only a select few ever get to do it in reality. Those who make it through the selection process need to be of immaculate health, as the body will have to deal with incredible forces during flight. Then, it takes a lot of skill and years of training until you're finally ready to fly that F-18.

So for most of us, flying a fighter jet will always remain a dream. But there's hope! Thanks to those little action cams that people are mounting anywhere and everywhere these days, we can take a virtual ride in the cockpit of an F-18 fighter jet. Using footage combined from multiple GoPros mounted throughout the cockpit of an F-18, this awesome video takes us all the way from takeoff to landing, with a magnificent journey through the sky in-between.

Be warned though, as this video might not be suitable for the faint-hearted. Halfway through the it, the pilot starts to perform a number of maneuvers that will most likely turn your stomach upside-down just from watching. However, since this is probably your only chance to ever take a ride in an F-18, we urge you to watch it anyway. At your own risk, though.

(On a side note, we acknowledge that the video is a couple years old already. But we found it too awesome not to share anyway.)
