We can hardly control our excitement -- one of the most eagerly-anticipated cameras of the year is finally about to arrive!

Launched at the Photokina tradeshow last September, the Samsung NX1 mirrorless is the company's first truly pro-grade camera, and sports some pretty spectacular features. We're talking a solid weather-sealed magnesium-alloy body, a light-loving backside-illuminated APS-C image sensor with high 28.2-megapixel resolution, 205-point on-chip phase detection autofocus, astounding 15 frames-per-second burst shooting, 4K video capture, and plenty else besides.

It's no wonder that everybody's been talking about the NX1 non-stop since its launch. (Our Samsung NX1 review, currently in progress and with both first shots and 4K video samples posted, now sits at close to 250 comments!) And the discussion is likely to reach fever pitch next week, because that, we've just learned, is when the Samsung NX1 will ship.

Specifically, if you've got an early-enough spot in line (and choose fast enough shipping), you could be shooting with the NX1 by, say, Tuesday of next week. (It officially goes on sale Monday). Pricing is set at US$1,500 or thereabouts body-only, or US$2,800 with 16-50mm S lens, battery grip, spare battery, and external charger.
