Adobe has released Adobe Camera Raw 8.7.1 and DNG Converter 8.7.1 into the wild, adding support for a new camera, additional lens profiles and a splattering of bugs from the previous iteration.

The single camera to receive full RAW support in this update is Sony’s A7 II. Samsung’s NX1 also receives some attention in the form of squashing a chromatic aberration bug.

Below are the lens profiles now supported:

Canon EF

  • Canon EF 24–105mm f/3.5–5.6 IS STM

  • Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM

  • Tokina AT-X 12–28 F4 PRO DX

Leica M

  • Zeiss Distagon T* 1,4/35 ZM

Nikon F

  • Tokina AT-X 12–28 F4 PRO DX

  • Tokina AT-X 70–200mm F4 PRO FX VCM-S

Sony Alpha

  • Tokina AT-X 166 PRO DX II 11–16 F2.8

Alongside the update of ACR 8.7.1, Adobe announced it plans to release an accompanying Lightroom 5.7.1 update sometime next week. It’s safe to say the update will include the offerings from ACR’s latest update, but beyond that, nothing else is known.

Adobe Camera Raw 8.7.1 is available to both Mac and Windows users as a free update to current Adobe subscribers or owners of Photoshop CS6.
