Since it was revealed that a number of Nikon D750s were faced with an unusual flare issue, Nikon has been fairly proactive at being transparent. That was, up until people started taking notice of a ‘silent recall,’ which left many online retailers without any D750s in stock.

Today, Nikon USA addressed this move in an official statement which reads:

Nikon is working with retailers to replenish stock with cameras to which measures to address this issue have been applied. In late January, Nikon will announce details to service cameras from users, free of charge

The statement might be a bit late, but it’s better to hear it straight from the source than to speculate. It also reassures Nikon users that they’re trying to not repeat the PR disaster that was the D600.

We’ll be sure to keep you up to date on any further developments.
