Edelkrone has released an innovative new tripod head for photographers and videographers. It’s called the Flex-Tilt Head and it features an articulating design for mirrorless cameras and small DSLRs.

The Edelkrone Flex-Tilt Head weighs less than a pound and is no larger than the size of a couple coasters stacked on top of each other. Despite its small size, its capable of supporting cameras up to 5.5 lbs.

Mounting is done via a standard 1/4”–20 screw on top and 3/8”–16 below. However, if you’d rather leave the tripod behind, the Flex-Tilt Head is capable of standing on its own, granted the weight is distributed uniformly.

The brilliance in the design is that it allows you to give your camera more reach, both upwards and outwards. Traditionally, tripods and sliders limit your ability to shoot downwards without getting the legs in the shot. No longer, if Edelkrone has a say in the matter.

The Flex-Tilt Head is made from CNC machined aluminum and thermoplastic components, giving it a pleasing aesthetic appeal and durability. Below is a video showing off the Flex-Tilt Head in action.

The Flex-Tilt Head is currently available for pre-order for $99.99 and will ship next month.
