Sirui has introduced the Swift series, a new lineup of affordable full-frame autofocus lenses. The first two models are the Swift 20mm F2.4 and 40mm F2.2, both priced at $149 and designed for Sony E, Fujifilm X, and L-mount mirrorless cameras.
The new lenses target photographers and videographers looking for compact, budget-friendly primes without sacrificing useful controls. Both feature autofocus, a dedicated aperture ring, a customizable function button, and weather-resistant construction.
Affordable Alternatives to Viltrox Air
The Swift series appears to compete directly with Viltrox’s affordable Air lineup, which also includes 20mm and 40mm prime lenses. Sirui differentiates its offerings with additional physical controls, including an aperture ring and a customizable function button.
Those features are notable at this price point, giving users more direct control over exposure and camera functions without relying entirely on menus or camera-body controls.
Both lenses use a stepper motor for autofocus. Sirui also says focus breathing is minimized, making the lenses suitable for video work where changes in framing during focus transitions can be distracting.
Each lens features a nine-blade aperture diaphragm and accepts 58mm front filters. Their weather-resistant construction is designed to protect against dust and moisture, while the front element has a smudge-resistant coating to help keep the glass clean.
Sirui Swift 20mm F2.4

The wider of the two lenses is designed for landscapes, architecture, travel, and environmental photography. Its optical construction consists of 11 elements in nine groups, including two aspherical elements, two ED elements, and two HRI elements.
Sirui says the optical design controls aberrations while delivering high resolution and suppressing flare and ghosting. The lens is intended to balance optical performance with the compact dimensions expected of an everyday wide-angle prime.
The Swift 20mm F2.4 weighs 207g and measures 60.3mm long. It comes with a petal-shaped lens hood.
Sirui Swift 40mm F2.2

The Swift 40mm F2.2 offers a more natural perspective for everyday photography, portraits, and documentary work. Its optical design uses 11 elements in eight groups, including one aspherical element and two ED glass elements.
According to Sirui, the design aims to deliver high resolution, minimal distortion, and effective aberration control while keeping the lens small and lightweight.
The 40mm lens weighs 210g and measures 62.3mm long, making it only slightly larger and heavier than its 20mm counterpart. It also includes a petal-shaped lens hood.
Warranty and Service
Sirui is offering a three-year warranty covering damage not caused by people, along with a lifetime paid repair service for damage caused by users. The policy provides additional long-term support for buyers considering the lenses as affordable everyday options.
Pricing and Availability
The Sirui Swift 20mm F2.4 and Swift 40mm F2.2 are each priced at $149. Both lenses are available through Amazon and the Sirui website, with Sony E, Fujifilm X, and L-mount versions listed for compatible mirrorless cameras.
