Travel photographer Elia Locardi is a highly-accomplished landscape photographer and he teamed up with Fstoppers to create a 12-hour video tutorial series aimed at landscape photography from start to finish, including video from out in the field and how to post-process your files.

Frugal photographers or those who just want to preview the tutorial series will be pleased that the first episode of Photographing the World: Landscape Photography and Post-processing with Elia Locardi is now available for free. The first episode, seen below, includes nearly an hour of excellent tips and tricks captured in Iceland.

Elia uses a wide variety of gear in the free lesson, including Nikon D810 and Nikon D750 camera bodies and a Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 lens. He goes to a variety of beautiful, scenic locations and intricately discusses how he chooses to compose his images. After capturing the shots, he goes through his post-processing using Lightroom, Photoshop and Nik plug-ins. Companion raw files are available here.

If you liked the snippet of the tutorial series above, you can purchase the entire 12-hour tutorial series for just under $300. The tutorial includes 1080p video of 15 lessons, an overview of the gear Locardi uses, full raw files and companion software catalogs, eight behind the scenes episodes (which are also available here) and access to a private Facebook group. You can see an overview of the tutorial series below. To view more of Elia Locardi's work, visit his website.
