It's no secret that the Canon EOS D60 is the hottest digital camera to come along in the last year or so, with its combination of 6 megapixel resolution and low, low price (for a pro-grade SLR). Many of our readers took advantage of the opportunity to pre-order D60s through our affiliate Ritzcamera.com, and I've now heard from a lot of you who've already received their cameras. (Thanks for those orders too: As you hopefully know, a portion of the proceeds of those sales goes toward supporting this site.)

Our Ritz rep called the other day, just to check in, and to let me know that they were indeed receiving *and shipping* volume quantities of the D60. They've already shipped quite a number of units to fill their backorders, and are continuing to receive significant quantities of the camera from Canon. He didn't have any specific projections on when their backorder list will completely clear (happily, new orders keep arriving on a daily basis), but he assured me that delivery quantities are holding very strong, and that they're processing them with very fast turnaround, on a strictly first-come, first-served basis as they work through the preorder queue.

I haven't heard any concerns voiced over D60 preorders our readers have with Ritz, but figured it wouldn't hurt to let people know that they are indeed shipping *quantities* of the camera, as evidenced both by their own reports, and numerous emails I've received from readers.

If you haven't bought your D60 yet, and want a guaranteed-reputable dealer to preorder from, you can't go wrong with Ritz. (Click here for a link to their ordering page for the D60, or here for a page that explains how the preorder process works.) As operator of this site, I have to say that it's a real relief to be able to point our readers to an outfit as reliable as Ritz when they're considering spending substantial money online. Thanks to all of you who've supported us by purchasing your cameras through Ritz, and to Ritz for taking such good care of our readers!
