Fuji's 3.3 megapixel update to the FinePix 6800Z reviewed...

Fuji's had something of a franchise on the vertical-format, high-style, compact form-factor segment of the digicam market for some time now, and their latest offering in this area takes resolution and image quality to a new high. Their FinePix F601 Zoom is an update of last year's 6800 model, with very similar styling, but a later-generation SuperCCD sensor plus a few other added features and capabilities.

The result is a compact camera with a full 3.3 megapixel SuperCCD that produces interpolated files 6 megapixels in size with excellent color. Its photos are very sharp, and the color very appealing, particularly skin tones, something that Fuji has done a particularly good job with in a variety of products.

Overall, a nice little camera that looks as good as the photos it takes. Great for style-conscious users who want good photos, without lugging around the usual "camera looking" camera. Read the review for all the details!
