The fifth autofocus lens in Rokinon's lens lineup is their first for Canon EF-mount. The 14mm f/2.8 AF lens has been designed from the ground up for full-frame Canon EOS DSLR cameras and is weather-sealed. The lens offers an angle of view of 116.6 degrees on a full-frame camera and its autofocus system has been designed to minimize weight and offer accurate, fast autofocus performance.

The lens includes 15 elements across 10 groups and has UMC anti-reflective coating. The lens has one extra low dispersion element, two aspherical elements and four high refractive index lens elements. Further, the weather-sealed lens has an all-metal construction and built in lens hood. In total, the lens weighs 17.1 ounces (485 grams) and has a length of 3.8 inches (95.6 millimeters). Minimum focus distance is fairly impressive at 7.8 inches (0.2 meters) which delivers a magnification ratio of 0.15x. The lens has a 7-blade aperture and does not take screw-in filters.

Rokinon's new 14mm f/2.8 AF lens for Canon will be available in the first quarter of 2018 and has a suggested retail price of $999 (although B&H has it listed at $849 right now), which Rokinon says is "affordable" given that the lens "easily meets or exceeds the performance characteristics of other professional ultra-wide lenses."
