There are times when I think an image will look really good when converted to black and white. In Anthony Morganti's newest video, he tries to address the topic. How can you know when an image will look better in black and white?

One of the more effective ways to identify a potentially good black and white image is to work on being able to imagine a scene in black and white. With experience and practice, it's a skill you can acquire. When you can see a scene without focusing on the colors, other aspects become more apparent, such as light, texture and contrast. Where are the brightest parts of the scene, what about the darkest? This matters considerably when making a compelling black and white image.
