Unmesh Dinda of PiXimperfect has a new start-to-finish tutorial outlining how to blur the background of your image in Photoshop and add bokeh.

It's always preferred to blur the background and get nice bokeh in camera, but it's not always possible in a given situation. Dinda's complete guide to editing and retouching a RAW photo starts in Adobe Camera Raw for exposure, light and color adjustments. Next, he adds a shallow depth of field effect by blurring the background. Afterwards, he burns and dodges to add depth to the image. He then puts finishing touches on the photo, including warming, vignette and additional curves adjustments. If you'd like to download sample images to follow along, click here.
