With DJI fighting to overturn its potential U.S. ban before the fast-approaching December 23, 2025 deadline, another drone maker is starting to pick up momentum in the rumor mill. According to new insider reports, Autel Robotics is preparing to unveil not one, but two new drones in the coming weeks.

Autel Apex and EVO 3 Future Release Leaked

Reputable leaker Igor Bogdanov claims that Autel is getting ready to launch the Apex and EVO 3, and he has shared what appears to be an early promotional video for the EVO 3—fueling speculation that an official announcement is close.

The leaked footage showcases several capabilities, including subject tracking and subject recognition. One standout feature is the drone’s ability to communicate with other nearby drones. According to the leak, up to 32 drones can form a mesh network called OmniLink, suggesting potential use in coordinated drone shows.

The EVO 3 will reportedly offer full autonomy similar to DJI’s Neo-series drones and even accept voice and text commands. Camera specs aren’t confirmed yet, but the drone is said to shoot at up to ISO 800,000, a remarkable capability that could make it an excellent tool for nighttime video. Early details also claim a 50-minute flight time, 25m/s top speed, and a 25km range.

The leak adds that the EVO 3 may ship with several camera configurations. Options will supposedly include the Fusion 4T, Fusion 4N, and Fusion 3M camera modules—similar to those found in the current EVO Max lineup.

    • Fusion 4T: telephoto module
    • Fusion 4N: starlight camera for extreme low-light
    • Fusion 3M: wide and zoom cameras

All three reportedly include a thermal camera and a laser rangefinder.

Details on the Autel Apex remain unknown, though its naming suggests it may sit above the EVO series, potentially targeting more advanced or professional users.

With the DJI situation creating uncertainty in the consumer drone space, other brands are clearly preparing to step in. Autel has long focused on industrial and commercial markets, but a strong consumer-focused push—especially now—could position the company as a major DJI alternative alongside newcomers like Antigravity.

When Will the Autel Drones be Available?

There’s no confirmed pricing or release timeline for the new Autel drones yet. However, the appearance of promotional materials strongly suggests that a launch may be right around the corner.

We’ll continue monitoring this story and share updates as soon as more information becomes available.
