Why We Like the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Fill Light Combo

The Osmo Pocket 4 is the centerpiece of this bundle, featuring a 1-inch CMOS sensor capable of capturing approximately 37MP still photos in JPEG and RAW formats. That’s a substantial resolution increase over the Pocket 3’s approximately 9.4MP still images. For video, it records standard 4K footage at up to 60fps and offers 4K slow-motion recording at up to 240fps. Its three-axis mechanical gimbal keeps footage steady when walking, moving around, or recording handheld vlogs.

The camera also features a 20mm-equivalent f/2.0 lens, giving you a wide field of view for self-recording and everyday video. Its 1-inch sensor provides flexibility in challenging lighting, while the updated ActiveTrack system can follow people and other subjects, including when using supported zoom levels. This makes it easier to keep yourself or another subject in the frame without constantly adjusting the camera manually.

The included magnetic fill light is particularly useful for creators who frequently record indoors or in dim environments. It provides additional illumination for your face and nearby subjects, while adjustable brightness and color temperature let you tailor the light to your surroundings. The bundle also includes a USB-C PD cable, wrist strap, and carrying pouch, giving you a few practical accessories for charging, handling, and transporting the camera.

What to Consider Before Buying

Although the Osmo Pocket 4’s 1-inch sensor offers good image quality for a compact camera, it won’t provide the same low-light performance or lens flexibility as a full-frame mirrorless system. The built-in f/2.0 lens is convenient, but you cannot swap it for a wider, longer, or faster lens depending on your shooting needs. The magnetic fill light helps illuminate nearby subjects, but it isn’t a substitute for a larger lighting setup when recording in particularly dark environments.

Also, 4K at 240fps is available in the dedicated slow-motion mode rather than standard video recording. If you primarily shoot conventional vlogs, the regular 4K 60fps mode is likely to be more useful. Finally, confirm the exact accessories included in the Amazon bundle, since this fill light package may differ from DJI’s official Creator Combo and its included microphone and other accessories.
