Rumors surrounding the Fujifilm X-T6 continue to gain momentum after B&H Photo announced a hands-on event showcasing the “latest Fujifilm gear” just days after Fujikina Paris 2026. While the retailer doesn’t explicitly mention the X-T6, the timing aligns closely with previous reports pointing to an early September launch for Fujifilm’s next flagship APS-C camera.
The B&H Photo Demo Experience: Touch and Try the Latest Fujifilm Gear is scheduled for September 8, 2026, at the retailer’s New York SuperStore. The event comes only a few days after Fujikina Paris, which takes place from September 4 to 6, where the rumored X-T6 is expected to make its first public appearance.
B&H Event Aligns With Previous Rumors
B&H describes the event with the following invitation:
“Join us for a hands-on demo to touch and try the latest Fujifilm gear. This is the perfect chance to get up close to the equipment and see how it performs in person. A Fujifilm rep will be on hand to help you experience the gear and answer all your questions.”
Although the listing never mentions the X-T6 by name, Fuji Rumors believes it will be the event’s main attraction. According to the publication, Fujifilm frequently holds regional hands-on events shortly after introducing major new cameras, allowing photographers to try them before they become widely available.
The timing also matches earlier reports claiming Fujifilm will hold an X Summit livestream just before Fujikina, with the X-T6 expected to be officially announced ahead of the Paris event.

What We Know So Far About the Fujifilm X-T6
While Fujifilm has yet to confirm the camera, several rumors have emerged in recent months outlining its expected specifications.
The X-T6 is rumored to retain Fujifilm’s 40.2-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor, while introducing a new X Processor 6 with improved AI-powered autofocus and subject detection.
Another widely reported addition is a brand-new Film Simulation featuring “really deep and strong colors.” If accurate, it would be Fujifilm’s first new Film Simulation since REALA ACE, which debuted with the GFX100 II in 2023.
The camera is also rumored to receive a new NP-W255 battery with approximately 16% greater capacity than the current NP-W235, potentially improving battery life for both photography and video.
Video capabilities are expected to receive a substantial upgrade as well, with reports pointing to 8K recording for the first time in the X-T series.
Finally, sources suggest Fujifilm has redesigned the camera’s top-plate controls, although exactly how the dials have changed remains unknown. The revisions are expected to improve ergonomics and make the controls feel more refined during everyday use.
A Launch Could Be Just Around the Corner
Individually, neither the B&H event nor the Fujikina schedule confirms the X-T6’s existence. Together, however, they fit neatly with the growing body of rumors suggesting Fujifilm is preparing a major product announcement in early September.
If the reports prove accurate, Fujifilm enthusiasts may not have to wait much longer before the company’s next flagship APS-C camera is officially unveiled.
Pricing and Availability
Fujifilm has not announced pricing for the rumored X-T6.
Current reports suggest the camera will be unveiled during the first week of September, likely ahead of Fujikina Paris 2026, with the B&H Photo hands-on event on September 8 potentially serving as one of the first public opportunities to experience the new camera.
