SWIT has announced the K7, a 7-inch touchscreen cine monitor designed for professional video production. It features a bright Full HD display, HDMI-to-SDI conversion, a range of image-monitoring tools, and multiple power options for on-location shoots and cinema rigs.
2,800-Nit Display and HDMI-to-SDI Conversion
The K7 features an optically bonded 1080p Full HD touchscreen with a sustained brightness of 2,800 nits. This allows operators to monitor footage in bright outdoor environments without relying entirely on a separate sunhood.
For connectivity, the monitor has HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDI inputs, along with loop outputs for both interfaces. Its built-in signal conversion allows users to connect HDMI cameras to downstream SDI equipment without requiring a separate converter.
The HDMI input accepts signals up to 4K at 60 frames per second, which the monitor processes internally before outputting resolutions up to 2048 × 1080 at 60p over 3G-SDI. Supported production formats include 1080p, 1080i, 1080psf, and 720p.
This gives mirrorless and cinema cameras a way to feed SDI-based equipment through the K7, potentially simplifying production setups.
Professional Monitoring Tools
The K7 supports user LUTs and LUT output over both HDMI and SDI. Other monitoring tools include focus peaking, zebra, false color, waveform, vectorscope, and histogram.
Operators can also capture a frame to an SD card and overlay it on the live image with adjustable transparency. This can help reproduce framing and subject placement between takes.
For specialized setups, the monitor supports custom anamorphic de-squeeze and a rotatable or flippable interface for different camera orientations, including vertical shooting configurations.
Hot-Swappable Batteries and Flexible Power
One of the K7’s more practical features is its dual NP-F battery system. The monitor can operate with a single battery, allowing users to replace the second battery while keeping the display running. On-screen battery-level indicators help operators determine when a swap is needed.
The monitor also accepts external power through a 2-pin LEMO input supporting 7-34V DC, as well as USB-C Power Delivery from 9-20V.
These three power options give crews flexibility across different setups, from lightweight on-camera rigs to larger cinema systems with centralized power distribution.
Rugged Construction and Physical Controls

SWIT has built the K7 with an all-metal housing and protective rubber corner guards to help withstand the demands of production and transport.
Alongside the touchscreen, the monitor includes a physical scroll-and-enter control, two function keys, and a touch-lock feature. These controls provide alternatives to touchscreen operation when working on a camera rig.
