While Adobe's subscription-based Creative Cloud design software has drawn controversy since it was announced last May, it's hard to argue with some upcoming free online classes to help explain these complicated but important programs. From August 19th to 23rd, 11 experts in Adobe's Creative Cloud programs will be leading these online tutorials on the creativeLIVE site.

The brainchild of professional photographer Chase Jarvis, creativeLIVE offers a variety of online imaging classes throughout the year, and just last February held a week of free Photoshop tutorials. Like that event, dubbed Photoshop Week at creativeLIVE, the five-day Creative Cloud course will be broadcast live and users can stream it for free.

If, however, you want to download and save the entire Creative Cloud series so you can re-watch it, pause it, fast forward, rewind and so forth, it will cost you $199. That's not a bad deal though, considering it includes a total of 32 classes over the span of five days.

Adobe Creative Cloud pros leading the classes at creativeLIVE include Dave Cross, Ben Wilmore, Erica Gamet and others, and segments suit a range of abilities, from first timers to more experienced Adobe users. Classes run from 9am to 4pm (Pacific Time) and include tutorials on Photoshop CC, Illustrator, Premiere, and Dreamweaver, to name a few. Photoshop Week attracted over 150,000 students from 178 countries and creativeLIVE expects a similar audience to join its Creative Cloud online classes next week.
