There is likely little more annoying to responsible drone pilots than hearing about irresponsible drone pilots. Between crashing drones through windows or flying them near airplanes, it seems that people continue to give lawmakers more motivation to write stricter laws and regulations. On New Year’s Eve, an unidentified drone pilot crashed into the Space Needle in Seattle.

Unsurprisingly, the drone pilot is potentially facing charges. Fstoppers is reporting that Seattle does not have specific drone laws on the books, but that the pilot could face charges of reckless endangerment. In addition to Seattle considering charges, the FAA is investigating the incident as the pilot committed multiple violations, including flying over unprotected people.

This isn’t the first drone to hit the Space Needle. Space Needle CEO Ron Sevart remarked that it’s the third drone they have recovered on the property. You can check out the video of the incident below, which admittedly features some neat views before it unceremoniously collides with the iconic Space Needle.
