Photographer and educator Anthony Morganti has been releasing excellent and free Photoshop tutorials as part of his “Getting Started in Photoshop” video series and he recently released his fifth episode, which is all about selections.

Selections are not only a critical aspect of Photoshop, but they’re also one of the most convincing reasons to use the software over something simpler, such as Lightroom. While a lot of photo editing software includes the ability to make some form of localized adjustments and selections, Photoshop offers users the most powerful, comprehensive tools. In this case, with great power comes a steep learning curve. For photographers who want to brush up on their selection skills, the video below is an excellent resource.
