Leigh Diprose from the Fuji Guys recently spoke with motorsport photographer Andrew Hall. Hall has started using the new Fujifilm X-H1 for his motorsports work and Leigh chats with him about that, but also discusses Hall's long career in photography and how he got his start.

Hall has been working in motorsport photography for 30 years, so he's been around for many major shifts in photography and digital photography and has gotten his hands on many different technologies.

He has been shooting with the Fujifilm X Series of mirrorless cameras since 2011 when the X100 came out. The first few X Series cameras weren’t quite fast enough for motorsport, so the X100 and X-Pro1 Hall used were mostly for shooting in the pitlane, where the lightweight and compact size of the cameras was very beneficial. When the X-T1 came out, Hall started using it for motorsports and when the XF 100-400mm lens came out, he switched fully to the Fujifilm X system.
