As part of his ongoing video series, Mastering Lightroom Classic CC, Anthony Morganti wants to help you get the most from Lightroom's built-in sharpening and noise reduction features.

When sharpening an image, there's a balance to be struck between extracting the most detail from your raw images while not overdoing it and giving your images an unnatural appearance. You will also want to be careful to not introduce artifacts. On the other hand, when performing noise reduction, you want to reduce noise without reducing the fine details in your image. How much sharpness is ideal and also how much to reduce noise are ultimately personal preferences and they also depend on how you intend to use the final image. Morganti shows off the different sharpness and noise reduction sliders and what they do in his video below.
