For beginner photographers and videographers, Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Premiere CC can be daunting. There is a lot going on in Adobe’s most powerful software and sometimes you just want to get in, make your work look better and share it. That’s where the company’s Elements line of software comes in. Adobe has announced new versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 and Adobe Premiere Elements 2019, aimed at making it easier than ever to create great-looking photo and video content.

Let’s look first at Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019. By utilizing automation, Photoshop Elements 2019 is faster and easier to use than ever before. The changes start as soon as you open up the software, which has a new home screen featuring information about new updates, different ideas and projects you can try, tutorial content and more. For users who enjoy creating slideshows, you can now do so with the help of Adobe’s AI-powered Sensei technology. Plus, photo collages have been redesigned to be quicker to create and with more stylish templates.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 can automatically curate and create collections of memorable moments.

If you need help editing photos, Photoshop Elements 2019 includes 53 guided edits, which offer step-by-step instructions for how to edit photos, including four new options: multi-photo text, meme creation, turning your photo into a sketch and adding polish with text and border overlays. Overall performance of the software has been improved and there is new file support. Photoshop Elements 2019 will be available later this year for $99.99, which is a one-time fee, not a subscription.

Both Photoshop Elements 2019 (shown here) and Premiere Elements 2019 include a new home screen, which features helpful information, tutorials and more.

Adobe Premiere Elements 2019 also features a new home screen, like Photoshop Elements, and offers similar information, tutorials and creative ideas. Also, Adobe Sensei appears in the form of automated photo and video slideshow/collage creation. If you need to get in and make a quick edit, there’s a new “Quick Edit” mode, which provides fast guided access through trimming clips, combining clips, adding photos, titles and music and more to create a finished video project. Like Photoshop Elements, there are other Guided Edits, a total of 20, including a pair of new ones focused on glass pane effects and luma fade transitions. Adobe Premiere Elements 2019 will be available later this year for $99.99.

If you would like both versions, Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 and Premiere Elements 2019, they can be purchased in a bundle later this year for $149.99.
