Nighttime portraiture using a Canon EOS R and your phone’s flashlight

Over at SLR Lounge, the team are getting back to the basics with a new free tutorial series. The tutorials are being kicked off with an episode about photographing nighttime portraits using only a phone flashlight.
Of course, you can get great results with expensive dedicated lighting equipment, but it turns out you capture nice images using only your phone's flashlight and a few accessories, including a cake icing tip, gaff tape and a small tripod.
